Website

So, I’ve always dreamed of having a website with every single piece of work I’ve ever created there to view and buy. And also for my reference, to be able to look at all my work in one place. However, having had this website for nearly 2 years now and having uploaded maybe 1/10th of my work if that, I realise that might not be such a realistic dream to have.

For one, it’s very hard to search for things when I have so much work, even though I’ve categorised it by size to make looking easier. Also, I realise now that it makes it quite unwieldy for any potential buyers when there’s so much to look through and choose from. For 3, I’m not the most organised of people and photographing all my art & keeping track of the titles is majorly hard work!

I’m not against hard work but I did not realise how tricky it would be trying to keep track of everything. For instance, I photographed all my 50x60cm paintings a few months ago. I think I’ve added about 5 of them to my shop. Something about having about 80 paintings to upload just sucked the life out of me and I couldn’t do it. I can’t even tell myself to do it in little chunks and just do a few here and there. It’s made me just lose the will to upload.

All my photos are on my phone and that feels really hard as well for some reason.

So I don’t know what I’m going to do. I still have this dream of having all my work online but I don’t think this is the place for it….
